    On Feb 4th, 2014, succeeding Steve Ballmer, Satya Nadella was appointed as new CEO of Microsoft. Earlier he was associated with the company as executive vice president of Microsoft’s cloud and enterprise group. He was the person so far taking care of all the company’s computing platforms, developer tools and cloud services.


    With the sudden announcement of Steve Ballmer’s retirement from Microsoft in August 2013, everyone was looking forward for new CEO as Ballmer was the main candidate to become one. Before signing the papers of CEO position, Nadella was a relatively less known figure; he has spent his 22 years at Microsoft.

    Satya Nadella is originally from India, belongs to Telugu Brahmin Family. He was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, his father was an IAS officer hailing from Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Also his father was member of planning commission during 2004 to 2009 under our honorable Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

    Nadella did all his schooling from Hyderabad only, and then he went to Manipal Institute of Technology for B.Tech in electronics and communication. For higher studies Nadella flew to University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee and did his MS in Computer Science. In 1992 he started with his first job with Sun Microsystems as program manager in the Windows developer relations group.
