  • Rishikesh is actually spread out over a vast terrain. Hence, the type of hotel you are looking for depends on its locale. Laxman Jhula and Swag Ashram are the most preferred locales, while its eastern region is not highly preferred. Tapovan is a quite place, located away from Laxman Jhula and is hence quiet and peaceful.

    Star Hotels:
    Seventh Heaven Inn – This boutique hotel is highly in demand and is located in the Tapovan region. Service standards and room rates are quite high in this Indo / British hotel. Although spacious interiors, along with best in class service is provided by its highly professional staff.


    Ganga Vatika Boutique Guesthouse – This guesthouse is a little different from conventional Indian hotels, due to its European styling and service structure. It is located near Ram Jhula, while guests are eligible to attend yoga classes, kirtam, mantra recitation and satsang. Vegetarian food is available and you cannot bring non vegetarian food into the premises.

    Family Hotels:
    Hotel Nirvana Palace – This hotel is located near the Swag Ashram area and is a typical up-market budget hotel. Room rates are standard, while this structure is a large building, converted to a hotel. As a result, their rooms are unconventional, even though delightful views are obtained from attached balconies.

    Budget Hotels:
    Staywell Cottage / Seema Guesthouse – This is quite popular with tourists, looking for budget rooms to spend the night at. Basic amenities are provided, along with clean rooms. Yoga sessions are held on the terrace each morning and evening, while guests are welcome to join in anytime they please.

    Vashisht Guest House – If you are looking for an economical guesthouse in the Swag Ashram area, do not look any further than Vashisht. It offers cheap rooms on rent, while bright and clear rooms are available at most times. Attached bathrooms along with basic amenities are present, even though top notch amenities are not present.
