    ARLINGTON, United States:Rescuers found another 10 bodies on Tuesday while digging through the debris of US landslide. Assumption says that there are still more than 170 individuals still unaccounted.

    The efforts of searching for the survivors in the massively huge pile of timber and mug were hampered due to rain in a small town of Oso on Saturday.

    Travis Hots, the Snohomish County fire district chief confronted media persons, three days after the catastrophe in the north-western US state of Washington and said, “Unfortunately, we didn’t find any signs of life”. According to what he reported, 2 more dead bodies were in addition to the 14 corpses already brought out and around 8 were located in the debris by then.

    Around 49 dwellings in the countryside township were hit by the 1square mile (2.5 square kilometre) rocks and trees,wall of mud that even destroyed the highway for some 95 kilometres (60 miles) northeast of Seattle.

    “The massive emergency operation was still aimed at rescuing survivors as well as recovering bodies, even though the chances of finding people alive diminish with each day.” said by Hots. He further said, “We haven’t lost hope that there’s a possibly that we can find someone”.

    After the declaration of the state of emergency for Washington State by President Barack Obama, The National Guard joined the local and state emergency workers. Obama said, “I would just ask all Americans to send their thoughts and prayers to Washington State and the community of Oso and the families and friends of (the missing)”.

    In Netherlands, where he was attending a nuclear security summit he added, “We hope for the best, but we recognize that this is a tough situation,”

    The White House said, “The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will help “save lives and to protect property and public health and safety, and to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in Snohomish County”.
